Diversa is a portmanteau, a fancy word that means the blending of the sounds and combining meanings of two other words, in this case “diabetes” and “reverse”. Diversa also means “diverse” in Spanish.
The core issue we’re addressing is insulin-induced conditions. In fact, perhaps the majority of Australians have some form of insulin resistance which is manifested in a variety (or diverse) types of conditions. Type 2 diabetes just happens to be the most recognisable.
Historically, the majority of patients we have helped came to us primarily for assistance with sustained weight loss, and we will continue to serve such patients. However, with approximately 1.7 million Australians with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes, nearly all of them only “manage” their conditions with medications and carbohydrate-rich diets.
We aim to completely change the paradigm. For those Australians with or at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Diversa provides the option of reversal. In so doing, we seek to help Australians be healthier while reducing the healthcare costs.
