Since establishing Australia’s first low carb medical clinic in Melbourne 4 years ago, we are proud to have helped thousands lose weight, reverse their diabetes and turn their health around.
We have found the patients most successful at reversing their insulin-related conditions, tend to be those who have ongoing support. In the past, that often meant costly and time-consuming appointments to see us.
We're pleased to now provide you with personalised, expert guidance from qualified health professionals entirely through our individualised remote subscription service.
Your treatment journey
1. Comprehensive Clinical Evaluation
Your first month’s fee includes an initial assessment and comprehensive clinical evaluation. This includes:
Understanding your goals
Establishing medical history and dietary issues
Ordering blood/pathology tests
Discuss dietary requirements/allergies and food sensitivities
Tailored advice regarding the types of foods to eat and what to avoid
2. Here whenever you need us
Whether it’s the question you think of just after leaving a consultation, the symptom you’re concerned about or getting back on track after a slip-up – often you don’t want to wait for an appointment just to ask us questions.
Included within your paid subscription, you can contact us as often as needed with follow-up questions outside scheduled remote appointments. We are currently offering this service via email, and will soon be adding other contact options. We’ll aim to always respond to your enquiries within 24 hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).
A member of our team will also initiate contact with you between appointments (by phone and email) in particular while you are getting started.
3. Ongoing review
Gone are the days of sitting in our waiting room, battling through traffic, or driving up to 4 hours one-way to be seen by us. We’ve heard you: Your appointments will be conducted via phone or video call. Eventually this will transition further to a robust digital tool but still with our qualified health professionals.
Additionally, we will provide you with the results of your blood tests at least 24 hours before your appointment - allowing you more time to review and consider any questions beforehand.
If you take medications, especially those for blood pressure, diabetes, or cholesterol, changing your diet may have an impact on your need for these medications. Our doctors are experts at fine tuning your medications while you adjust your diet. While we aim to have you on as few drugs as possible, some individuals will continue to need medications for their particular medical situation.
(WARNING: Medications are very dependent on the individual, and you should NOT change your medications without seeking appropriate medical advice).
4. An experience that lasts a lifetime
We know that a journey to better health differs greatly between individuals. Incorporating lifestyle changes takes time and practice, and how long it takes to achieve great results also depends on factors such as pre-existing illnesses.

Renewal and cancellation
Your subscription will auto renew, but you can cancel at any time. To ensure payment is not taken, please notify us of cancellation by email at least 7 days prior to the renewal date.For discounted terms (3, 6 or 12 months) your membership will renew on the same terms– we’ll give you plenty of notice before the renewal takes place.
In accordance with Medicare rules requiring an in-person attendance, Medicare rebates are not currently available for our service.
If you hold Private Health Insurance with Extras cover for Dietetics, ask your health fund regarding your eligibility to claim for remote consultations.

We believe this new model provides you with the flexibility of support that is more likely to make you successful in a low carb lifestyle.
As we enter this transition phase, we encourage you to try our remote service. For those among our established patients who would still prefer to come to our rooms, a dietitian can meet with you in person. However, a doctor will join remotely.
As previously, a $200 fee will cover that visit - but unlike the past, should you have additional questions, you can reach out to us whenever you need for the month for which you have paid. Please note – in accordance with Medicare rules requiring an in-person consultation, a Medicare rebate will no longer be available.
You’ll be able to contact us as often as needed with follow-up questions within the month of your paid subscription. Initially, this will be primarily by email but we will also soon be offering the option of phone, SMS, and live chat. The primary reason doctors do not typically provide pathology results outside of appointments is to avoid misinterpretation of the information on the part of the patient or to avoid potential alarm. However, the results are yours, not ours - and we believe providing them before the appointment is more empowering for you. By reviewing the information prior to the appointment, it provides for a more efficient discussion. Prior to providing them, however, they will be reviewed by a doctor who will highlight any potential areas of concern.
